Feb 15, 2023 · Craftsman LT2000 brake issues. My 2005 that i purchased just before winter has brake issues (purchased like this). The issue obviously is that it will not stop. I pulled the wheel and tried adjusting the threaded rod that attaches to the pedal and the nut that applies pressure to the arm that pushes in the brake pins with no luck. Just got the lawn tractor (Craftsman LT 2000 with 22 hp Briggs) out from winter storage, performed the usual maintenance items (oil & filter change, new plugs, etc.), checked the gas - 1/2 tank - (which I had added Stabil storage before putting it to bed for the winter) and started it up.
